Fitting It In! You Get So Much For So Little

Physical activity need not be vigorous to improve health, according to the latest Surgeon General's Report. Physical activity at a moderate level improves your mood and sense
of well-being. It gives you more energy and helps control weight. It can reduce your risk of developing many chronic diseases; it adds enjoyment to your day and helps you to live a longer quality life!

“Fitting It In!”

Daily activities such as brisk walking, gardening, dancing, and energetic vacuuming all add up to better health.

You don’t have to buy expensive equipment, join a gym or take a class. The key is to be active most days of the week. Adults need at least 30 minutes a day and children need at least 60 minutes a day.

If finding one block of time is too hard, ten minutes of activity several times a day will do the trick.

You Get So Much for So Little!

Moderate physical activity can help control weight, manage your blood pressure, reduce anxiety and depression, build strong bones and muscles, helps manage arthritis, and reduce the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, and cancer!
